Amy Suzan Grovender and James Robert Marchewka wed

Amy Suzan Grovender and James Robert Marchewka were married Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008 at Woodbury Lutheran Church. The reception was held at Mississippi Dunes Golf Links in Cottage Grove. The couple honeymooned in Mexico.

The bride’s attendants were: matron of honor Julie Stone (sister of the bride); bridesmaids Irene Chen (friend of the bride), Bryana Grovender (sister-in-law of the bride), Amber Hotle (friend of the couple), and Kate Bjorkman (friend of the bride). Flower girls were Claudia and Stephanie Stone, the bride’s nieces.

Best man was the groom’s friend, Josh Bray. Groomsmen were John Marchewka (brother of the groom), Dan Pearson (friend of the groom), Dave Vandermeuse (friend of the couple), and Bob Retlich (brother-in-law of the groom). Ring bearers were Nate Stone (nephew of the bride) and Alex and Tyler Retlich (nephews of the groom). Ushers were Eric and Adam Grovender, brothers of the bride.

Amy is a student in the physician assistant program at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is the daughter of Steven and Karen Grovender of Woodbury.

Jim is a medical technologist at the University of Wisconsin, Madison Hospital. He is the son of Richard and Judy Marchewka of Crivitz, Wis.

The Marchewkas reside in Madison, Wis.
