The Yellow Ribbon Network of Washington County will hold a silent vigil Sunday in honor of the three Minnesota soldiers killed in Iraq this week.
The vigil will be held Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Stillwater Veterans Memorial. All members of the public are welcome, organizers said.
The Stillwater Veterans Memorial is located next to the Historic Courthouse.
All three soldiers killed Thursday were members of the Minnesota National Guard Red Bull 34th Infantry Division, which is based in Stillwater.
The vigil will also recognize all deployed service members and their families, organizers said in a release on the Yellow Ribbon Network of Washington County website.
The Yellow Ribbon Network of Washington County was organized earlier this year. Its mission includes raising awareness of the need to support military families during a deployment.
