Libby McAtee, 9, had her hair cut June 19 for the “Locks of Love” organization at the Relay For Life of Woodbury American Cancer Society fundraising event.
Libby had been growing her hair since last year’s Relay so she would be able to donate this year. She was able to provide three 10-inch ponytails.
Her hair will be used by the non-profit Locks of Love organization to manufacture hairpieces for financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.
Libby’s parents are Ty and Jenni McAtee of Woodbury.
