Woodbury Junior High hosts final awards ceremony

For the last time, Woodbury Junior High eighth and ninth grade students came together to honor each other at the annual Awards Night on June 2 at the Woodbury High School auditorium, since WJHS will become Woodbury Middle School next year.
This was a unique ceremony for the students this year since both eighth and ninth grade students will be moving on to high school next year, rather than just the ninth grade students like previous years.
During the ceremony, students were honored for their participation in various clubs and activities. Students were asked to stand and be recognized.
Student of the Year Awards were also handed out to both eighth and ninth grade students who excelled in different subjects. The went on stage to receive their awards.
The Student of the Year Awards winners are:

• 9th Grade Choir Student of the Year: Michaela Mathews, Timothy Lopez
• 9th Grade English Student of the Year: Darby Baranick, Elias Radtke
• 9th Grade FACS Student of the Year: Brittany Summer
• 9th Grade French Student of the Year: Jacob Flint
• 9th Grade German Student of the Year: Ryan Bruno
• 9th Grade Math Student of the Year: Emily Bonfig
• 9th Grade Phy Ed Student of the Year: Karli Wacker, Jeremy Richardson
