The last collection day for household hazardous waste at the Washington County Collection Site in Oakdale is Tuesday, June 30. Collection will begin again in late August at a new facility in Woodbury, located at 4039 Cottage Grove Drive at the intersection with Bailey Road, east of Woodbury Drive.
The new facility, called the Environmental Center, will continue to collect household hazardous waste and electronics from residents, and will feature a large Reuse Room where residents can shop for free, usable household products. A new drop-off service for common recyclables including paper, cardboard, bottles, and cans also will be provided for residents and small businesses.
Collection hours will remain the same at the new Environmental Center: Tuesdays from noon until 7 p.m., and Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
