For six years, Corinne Livesay, author of "Where the Asphalt Ends," introduced members of the St. Croix Valley community to each other in her St. Croix Valley Press column, "The Second Course."

When Livesay traveled to Cambodia in her late 70s, she amazed the locals who commented, "She still has her own teeth!"

Amused by this remark, Livesay developed a storytelling and musical event titled, “And She Still Has Her Own Teeth: A Life in Three Acts,” in which she weaves humorous and touching stories of eccentric old maid aunts, the woes of writing and travel to Cambodia with music from Brahms to traditional Cambodian.

Livesay will perform “And She Still Has Her Own Teeth” at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at the Freight House in downtown Stillwater.

Advanced tickets are $15 at and be purchased by calling (651) 338-4158 or by e-mail at Roger.Cheney@att.net. Some tickets may be available at the door.

Proceeds from the show will benefit the Volunteer Khmer/English Development School in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
