The city of Woodbury will hold its 15th annual “Earth Day Recycling Event” Saturday, May 2, at Ojibway Park from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
In addition to the usual collection of appliances, tires, electronics, scrap metal, etc., this year’s event includes furniture collection to benefit Bridging, a non-profit organization that supports families in need.
The recycling event, which is sponsored by the city’s Environmental Advisory Commission, relies on many community volunteers who assist residents with unloading of items.
Last year, more than 1,000 vehicles were processed by staff and volunteers.
