Wade Hanson and Jeff Rutkowski, staff members of Weichert, Realtors - Advantage, have been named to top positions with the Young Professionals Network (YPN).

Hanson, ABR, GRI, e-PRO, is a broker/associate with the agency, as well as regional development director for Weichert Real Estate Affiliates in the upper Midwest. He has been appointed to serve on the YPN Advisory Board for the National Association of Realtors.

In the national post, Hanson works specifically on programs and issues affecting younger real estate associates, company owners and managers.

He is part of a team, with fellow development director Amber Olson, that started the GenY-Kert program at Weichert, which focuses exclusively on the younger generation of professionals.

Rutkowski, office manager at the Woobury location of Weichert, Realtors - Advantage, has been elected YPN Twin Cities area chapter chair.

As such, he is versed on the organization and answers questions to the growing group of young, real estate professionals who want to stay abreast of the latest tools, resources and networking opportunities.

YPN’s Twin Cities chapter is one of the newest chapters in the state of Minnesota.

Realtor Magazine originally created the Young Professionals Network to help young professionals succeed in the real estate business by connecting them with the Realtors association, peers and community.

YPN’s National Advisory board helps guide YPNs membership activity and events. Because YPN is national, state and local, Realtors associations have started their own YPN chapters to help members interact on a local level.

Hanson and Rutkowski can be reached at Weichert, Realtors - Advantage’s headquarters office in Woodbury, (651) 702-1499.
