Pastor Ruth Ann Ramstad will lead a transitions retreat at Woodbury/Peaceful Grove United Methodist Church Saturdays, May 9 and May 16, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Ramstad will lead participants in an exploration of their personal history to help “you understand the unique purpose that God has for your life and work.”
Using an exploration process taught in the doctor of ministry program at Fuller Theological Seminary, the retreat, according to organizers, will give you “new insight into the movement of God in the background of your life and help you gain a vision for your next best steps toward meaningful work and life.”
In addition to the scheduled retreat time, approximately two hours of personal work will be required between the two sessions.
The retreat is open to everyone and there is no cost to attend.
The event is especially appropriate for persons who have experienced recent job loss or who are anticipating career shifts or retirement.
Sessions will be held at the Woodbury campus of the church, 7465 Steepleview Road.
Reservations are requested by Monday, April 27. Contact the church office at (651) 738-0305.
