Board approves three appointments to county advisory committees

The Washington County Board of Commissioners approved the appointments of citizen volunteers to county committees.
• Robert Bankers of Woodbury and Richard Thron of West Lakeland were appointed to the groundwater advisory committee to a first term expiring Dec. 31, 2010. The purpose of this committee is to advise the county board on matters relating to the development, content, implementation and periodic review and revision of the Washington County Groundwater Management Plan.
• Peg Killen of Woodbury was appointed to the workforce investment board to a first term expiring June 30, 2012. The purpose of this committee is to provide input from business, labor and agencies on methods of assisting job seekers.
