China series to start April 22

Dailey Travel LLC of Woodbury will offer a multi-week series called “All About China” beginning Thursday, April 22.

The sessions will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. in Conference Room B inside the R. H. Stafford Library, 8595 Central Park Place, Woodbury.

The seminar series is free and open to the public.

The instructor for this series grew up in China. She will share inside information on China, its people, culture, language, cuisine and must-sees.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn some popular Chinese words and sentences for tourists.

The series begins with “How to Prepare a Trip to China” on April 22, and is then followed by specific topics of different regions of China:

• “Marvelous Beijing, Xian and northern China,” Saturday, April 25, 3 to 4 p.m.

• “Journey of the Silk Road,” Thursday May 7, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

• “Mighty Yangtze River and its Path,” Saturday, May 16, 3 to 4 p.m.

• “Charming central China and Shanghai,” Thursday May 21, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

• “Diverse southern China and ethnic groups,” Thursday, May 28, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

• “Roof of the World Tibet,” Thursday, June 4, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

• “Pearl of the Orient Hong Kong and Hainan Island,” Saturday, June 13, 3 to 4 p.m.
