Pet adoption event March 28 at Woodbury Petsmart

A pet adoption event will take place Saturday, March 28 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Petsmart store, 8460 Tamarack Village, Woodbury.

The nation's troubled economy is affecting pet adoptions, too. The number of people who surrender their pets for lack of money to support the animals properly is on the rise. In some instances, pets are even abandoned at foreclosed properties, left to fend for themselves. The need for new homes for pets is growing.

Representative of SCRAM (Stray Cat Rescue Associates Minnesota) will be at the Woodbury Petsmart store March 28. Cats and dogs will be available for adoption.
