During a week-long promotion titled Caring For Cars, Caring For Kids,” the local Woodbury Goodyear store donated $2,320 to Bailey Elementary School.

The Bailey PTA and Linn Companies worked as a team to promote this campaign, in which Goodyear gave Bailey Elementary 10 percent of its total sales during a one-week time period.

“We wanted to give back to a local school and show them how much we appreciate their work towards educating our students to help make Woodbury a stronger community,” said Jeff Linn, vice president of Linn Companies. “By partnering together, Goodyear was able to build relationships, ensure the safety of Woodbury residents, and provide funds to help the school accomplish its goals."

Brenda Reuter, co-president of the Bailey PTA, described how the funds will be utilized.

“The money donated by Linn Companies will be used for a variety of resources for the school,” Reuter said. “We receive several special requests from students and teachers throughout the year that are not in the budget.

“This money will allow us to grant those requests, which may include educational field trips, playground equipment or on-line learning resources."
