Early childhood expo March 7The South Washington County Early Childhood Community Connections Collaborative will host the second annual Early Childhood Resource Expo on Saturday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The South Washington County Early Childhood Community Connections Collaborative will host the second annual Early Childhood Resource Expo on Saturday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will take place at the South Washington County Service Center, 13000 Ravine Parkway South, in Cottage Grove, located near the intersection of 90th Street and County Road 19.
The expo will feature activities for parents and children from birth to 5 years old, breakout sessions for parents and information about community resources for families. No registration is necessary. Adults are welcome to attend alone or with children.
The event will also include free giveaways, a raffle and healthy snacks.
Examples of breakout sessions include story time samplers; recognizing signs and symptoms of asthma; Music Together sample class; YMCA sample sports class; Erik Erickson’s developmental stages; infant massage; building self esteem; child safety booster seats; and oral health.
Collaborating partners of the event include Anoka/Washington County Head Start, Early Childhood Family Education, Family Health Programs, HIS Early Childhood Behavior Assistance, School Readiness, Southeast Area YMCA, Washington County Library, Washington County Public Health & Environment, Child Care Resources and Referral, Woodbury and Cottage Grove Parks and Recreation Departments, and the Youth Service Bureau.
