Relay For Life committee meeting March 5

A committee meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodbury United Methodist Church to discuss preparations for the Relay For Life of Woodbury 2009.

A committee meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodbury United Methodist Church to discuss preparations for the Relay For Life of Woodbury 2009.

Anyone wanting to contribute talent and time is welcome to attend. Teams are encouraged to stop in and drop off any funds raised to date.

Relay is Woodbury’s largest and most successful community fundraiser benefiting the American Cancer Society.

Monies raised go to research, education, advocacy and patient services at the national, state and local levels.

This overnight event will be at Ojibway Park, Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20, from 6 p.m. until 9 a.m.

Relay For Life of Woodbury is free and open to the public.

This year’s Relay is also offering participants and visitors an opportunity to become part of an historic research effort by enrolling in the American Cancer Society’s third Cancer Prevention Study (CPS-3).
