School District 833 Community Education offers a variety of swim programs during the spring. All programs are open to the public. Offerings include:
• Lifeguard Training: Class will be held March 31 and April 3 – 4, from 3 to 8 p.m. Registrants must be age 15 by the completion of the course and will pretest with a 300-yard swim and 10lb. brick retrieval. Participants must attend all classes and will learn and demonstrate lifesaving, CPR, AED and First Aid skills. The cost is $206.
• Friday Family Swim: Family swim time is available at Lake Junior High School, Woodbury, and Cottage Grove Junior High School. The pools will be open for family swimming on Fridays, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning March 1.
• Saturday Open Swim: Swimming for everyone is open at Cottage Grove Junior High School on Saturdays, March 14 to May 16, from 1 to 3 p.m.
