The Woodbury City Council will vote Wednesday, Feb. 11 to set a public hearing date for a Lake Road improvement project that would install a two-lane roundabout at the intersection with Woodlane Drive.

The proposed public hearing is on the project scheduled for March 11.

The city council discussed details of the project last month at council workshop, where more than a half dozen residents in the affected area of the project came to express their dissatisfaction of a proposed removal of trees in their yards to make way for a new park trail on the south side of Lake Road.

The project, which is estimated to cost nearly $2.5 million, is planned to make improvements to Lake Road at Woodlane Drive and to 3,000 feet east.

In addition to the roundabout and new park trail, the project is proposed to include pavement rehabilitation on Lake Road from Woodlane Drive to approximately 3,000 east, and storm water treatment and number of other utility improvements.
