• “Sampler Dance Nights” offer a way to prepare for a special event or try something new. Each night will focus on a new style of dance including ballroom, swing or Latin. Class will be held Mondays, Jan. 26 to Feb. 9, from 6:30 to 8:20 p.m. in the drama/music room at Crosswinds Art & Science School, 600 Weir Drive in Woodbury. The cost for the series, activity # 55200-02, is $48 per person. You must register with a partner.
• “Learn, function and perform more easily every day” through “Brain Gym,” a program of movement re-education. Classes are taught by Joni Polehna, a certified therapeutic Recreation specialist with 30 years experience in adult mental health. The one-session class will be held in Valley Creek Room A at Central Park, 8595 Central Park Place, Woodbury and is offered Wednesday, Jan. 14, Tuesday, Jan. 20 or Saturday, Jan. 31. The cost is $25. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water.
