Polar adventurers
The Science Explorers program of the Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department will present “A Polar Adventure” for children ages 3 1/2 to 6 at the Evergreen West Park Building, Woodbury on Tuesdays, Feb. 3 - 24.
The Science Explorers program of the Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department will present “A Polar Adventure” for children ages 3 1/2 to 6 at the Evergreen West Park Building, 1033 Tamberwood Trail, Woodbury on Tuesdays, Feb. 3 - 24, from 9:45 to 11:15 a.m. Registration is required. The cost is $51.
The child-only program will use a variety of hands-on methods in a journey to the ends of the earth. The adventure will be led by a qualified teacher. Adventurers will “travel from the North Pole to the South Pole, learn about their climate seasons and how they are different from each other,” and “learn how the sun and earth’s rotation have created wintry environments” and “how animals have adapted to living with frigid conditions.”
