The city of Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department hosts volunteers in a quilt square cutting project every other Wednesday in the Tamarack room of Woodbury’s Central Park, 8595 Central Park Place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Volunteers are invited to help whenever they can on Jan. 14, 28; Feb. 11, 25; March 11, 25; April 8, 22; and May 6, 20.
The squares are used by the Eager Hands quilt project of a local Woodbury church to create quilts for distribution to the homeless including those served by the Salvation Army, St. Paul.
All materials are provided, they “just need your helping hands.” Questions may be directed to Polly at Parks and Recreation, (651) 714-3585, or pblom@ci.woodbury.mn.us.
