‘Inn Between the Holidays’ features Woodbury man

The country musical “Inn Between the Holidays” is being performed at St. Croix Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, 1616 Crestview Drive, Hudson, Wis., Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through Jan. 3.

The musical features Tom Monn of Woodbury as “John,” a cranky inn guest who learns to find Christmas in his heart.

He and trucker “Emmett,” played by Rick Fields of Prescott, Wis., are touched by what they find at “The Inn Between,” a roadhouse café/ bar/ hotel on Highway 87 just outside of Between, Ga.

Monn says he enjoys “Inn Between the Holidays,” because he also gets to fill the role as the host, or master of ceremonies, for the evening.

Besides his work in Hudson, Monn has been on many stages including St. Croix Valley Summer Theatre, Old Gem, Lakeshore Players, Theatre in the Round and Masquers of Forest Lake.

The cast is rounded by Joseph Lullo of St. Paul, Tamera Philbrick Ripley of Minnetonka, Jon Bice of LaCrosse, Wis., Angel Brelie of Mora, Wayne Peterson of Stillwater, Kevin Quigley of West St. Paul and Matthew Sheppard of Minneapolis.

Dinner is served anytime between 6 and 7 p.m., with the curtain at 8 p.m.

This show also has a children's menu for ages 6 - 12 at a children's price of $28.

Visitors are advised to reserve tickets and holiday groups soon, as space is filling up.

Groups of 15 or more receive a 10 percent discount.
