Local realtors and interested members of the public can “Get to Know Woodbury” at a special event scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 4, at Woodbury High School.
The morning workshop, which starts at 8 a.m., will focus on the trends, community statistics and new loan opportunities related to housing in Woodbury.
Following casual networking over coffee and rolls, Mayor Bill Hargis will kick off the event.
Other presentations will feature School District 833 Superintendent Tom Nelson as well as city staff representing community development, economic development, new HRA housing loans, parks and recreation, public safety and public works.
Those attending should gather at the group room of Woodbury High School, 2665 Woodlane Drive. Realtors who participate can earn 3.0 CE credits.
To ensure that adequate supplies can be prepared, potential attendees are asked to e-mail Karl Batalden at kbatalden@ci.woodbury.mn.us or call (651) 414-3438 to reserve a space.
“Woodbury has so many wonderful opportunities to offer its residents,” said Batalden, housing specialist and associate planner. “By holding the first ever ‘Get to Know Woodbury,’ we hope to educate both current and future residents as well as members of the real estate and banking communities about the unique blend of cultural amenities and the high quality of life found in Woodbury.”
