Smooth music is coming to Woodbury's Central Park

The Velvet Tones, a 60-member choral group, will perform a free concert at Woodbury’s Central Park, 8595 Central Park Place, Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m.

Master of ceremonies and Twin Cities broadcast journalist Stan Turner will highlight 150 years of Minnesota state history while the Velvet Tones share related music including the Battle Hymn of the Republic, music of the 40s and the rock and roll of the 50s.

The Velvet Tones are coordinated by Jan Stoven of Woodbury and sponsored by School District 196 Community Education Adult Enrichment.

The performance is sponsored by the city of Woodbury parks and recreation department.
