Letter: Camp program gets lauded

I’m writing this letter to thank South Washington County Community Education for hosting the Camp Invention program this summer.

Camp Invention’s focus on STEM enrichment is especially timely, given the current focus on science-related curriculum in our schools.

By teaching creativity and critical thinking skills to elementary students through exciting, hand-on science projects, we hope to inspire our future scientists and inventors.

I especially want to thank camp director Jodi Hansen, her talented local teaching staff, and the creative students in Woodbury for their outstanding work.
