Letter: Bunn grateful for voter’s trustI want to humbly and sincerely thank the citizens of House District 56A for the trust and confidence they've placed in me.
I want to humbly and sincerely thank the citizens of House District 56A for the trust and confidence they've placed in me. I'm honored to serve our district communities and the state of Minnesota.
Thanks also to the residents of our communities who were engaged in the workings of our great democracy this past election season — volunteering time for candidates, attending debates, speaking with folks who knocked their doors, and wading through the literature that arrived in their mail boxes. The process is far from perfect, but it is better than the alternatives.
I want to commend Kathy Lohmer for a spirited campaign. I wish Kathy, her husband Greg, their family and all those who volunteered with them well. I'm also here to serve you.
We face significant challenges — responding to the downturn in the economy, an aging population and healthcare costs, and improving the global competitiveness of our education system.
I look forward to working with citizens and local elected officials — and with my legislative colleagues, to address these challenges and move us forward to build a stronger Minnesota.
