Bachmann wins re-election in Sixth
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann won her re-election bid in Minnesota Sixth District U.S. House race against challenger El Tinklenberg, who conceded late Tuesday.
Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann won her re-election bid in Minnesota Sixth District U.S. House race against challenger El Tinklenberg, who conceded late Tuesday.
90 percent of the precincts reported results by 1 a.m. and with a lead of more than 13,000 votes over her DFL challenger, Bachmann was projected by media outlets as the winner. She had 47 percent of the votes to Tinklenberg's 43 percent with about 11 percent of the precincts yet to be reported.
Woodbury resident Bob Anderson, who ran on the Independence Party ticket, was in third with 10 percent of the votes.
