Chamber seeks outstanding teacher nominations

The Woodbury Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking nominations for the community’s outstanding preschool, elementary and secondary educators, and outstanding educational team.

Award nominees must: be an educator in a Woodbury or Newport public or private school (pre-k through grade 12); hold a pre-k Minnesota licensure if nominated for the preschool educator award; have three years of experience teaching within the schools defined above, with an intention to continue within the schools; display exceptional skill and dedication to education and have a positive influence in the lives of students; play an active role in the community.

The Chamber’s Education Committee will select the winners. The recognition event for those selected is the annual Chamber Gala on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009.

Nomination forms are available on the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce website at www.woodburychamber.org and are due no later than Nov. 17 at the Chamber office, 7650 Currell Blvd., Suite 360, Woodbury, MN 55125. The fax number is (651) 578-7276.
