This Halloween, trick-or-treaters can bring their excess candy to Roscher Dental Group, 1590 Hastings Avenue, Newport, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, and receive $1 per pound.
The candy — which must be unopened — will be shipped to troops overseas by a local organization, Blue Star Mothers, who regularly ships care packages to soldiers stationed overseas.
“Ditch the candy, that’s what we’re saying,” said dentist Mike Roscher. “Visiting your dentist twice a year and brushing daily are great preventive measures, but doing away with excess sweets altogether would really give your teeth a healthy boost.”
Roscher Dental Group is comprised of Drs. Roscher, Sandra Cole-Wilkinson and Shirene Gounili. For details, call the office at (651) 459-2387.
