Letter: Communities need Swails

I urge you to vote for Marsha Swails for Minnesota State Representative.

I have had the privilege of working directly with Marsha as she has served both as an educator and as state representative. She is highly qualified, knowledgeable, committed and effective.

As an educator, Marsha's commitment to students and their learning is evident.

While it is easy for candidates to say they care about and understand educational issues, Marsha actually lives it. The many awards she has received as an educator speak for themselves about her effectiveness with our students.

Having directly observed Marsha as she has interacted with fellow legislators and educators, it is obvious she is highly respected by her peers.

This esteem others hold for her enhances her role and the resulting benefits for our community and state.

Marsha is a smart woman who has positively impacted state policy not only in the area of education, but also public health, public safety and many other important issues. Regardless of the venue, Marsha keeps the interests of her constituents at the forefront.

Her enthusiasm and strong knowledge base inspires people to work together on behalf of our communities.
