During my campaign for the Woodbury City Council, I have had the enjoyable opportunity to visit with hundreds of fellow citizens who love living in Woodbury as much as I do.
The people who live here, the businesses that provide us with the goods and services we need, as well as ample resources at our disposal for leisure activities, are among the contributing factors of why Woodbury is such a great place to live.
Woodbury is a thriving and growing city, so it’s easy to see why people are moving here. My husband, Brian, and I have lived in Woodbury for over six years. My community involvement includes being a coach with the Woodbury Athletic Association’s Junior High girls’ basketball program.
Moreover, for the past two years I have coached the Special Olympics’ Blazing Stars Red floor hockey team. Through these rewarding activities, I have become friends with many players and their parents. Both have been rewarding experiences that I will always cherish.
If elected to the Woodbury City Council, I will serve you and your family.
My top priorities, if elected, include: keeping the city safe through providing sufficient funding for our police and fire departments, investing in a solid transportation system, promoting economic development and implementing fiscal responsibility.
As our city continues to grow, so does our tax base. As a result, we should not have to pay higher property taxes. We deserve to keep more of our hard-earned money. The government may serve many purposes, but it is not the solution to everything.
I have the time, energy, optimistic attitude, and customer-service mentality to represent you and your family at the city level.
Furthermore, as a hard-working Realtor who was raised by self-employed parents, I understand that prudent budgeting and fiscal discipline are important factors in order to be successful and have financial freedom.
I will implement this vast experience on the city council.
If elected, I will be accessible. I will be a lending ear for concerns, questions and comments. I am a good listener and I find it easy to connect with people when they have a problem or concern. Furthermore, my negotiating experience within the real estate industry is also an asset. I will work cooperatively with other council members and staff to deliver what is best for our citizens of Woodbury.
I am a fiscal conservative and believe in limited government at all levels. The government must be held to the highest levels of accountability. The values that have been instilled in me are timeless: work hard, treat others the way I would want to be treated, and be honest.
Everyone strives to be successful, have happiness and provide for their families. We live in a great city with limitless potential. I would be honored to represent you on the city council. I will ensure our hard-earned money is utilized wisely on issues that are important to all Woodbury citizens.
