Woodbury High School Theatre will present the muscal “Oliver!,” bringing to life Charles Dickens’ famous story of the orphan boy Oliver Twist.
The score is full of irresistible songs including “Food Glorious Food.”
The cast of “Oliver!” is asking the audience to help them with a community service project. As the students sing about “Food Glorious Food,” they hope that the audience members will bring non-perishable food donations to every performance to benefit the area food shelf to help kids in need.
Specifically, they need “kid food,” such as Spaghettios, cookies, applesauce, crackers, soup, baby food, macaroni and cheese, and chips.
Show times for “Oliver!” are at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22 and at 2 p.m. on Nov. 16 and 22. American Sign Language interpretation will be offered on Nov. 20.
Ticket prices are $7 for adults and $5 for students (grade 12 and under) and all tickets are reserved.
Tickets can be purchased in the Woodbury High School Cafeteria on the following dates: Nov. 3, 5, 10, and 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and on Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., as well as one hour before each performance, based on ticket availability.
