The School District 833 Community Education Aquatics program will have winter season swim class registration and information available in early November. All classes are open to the public. Winter session classes will be held at either Oltman Junior High School in St. Paul Park, or Woodbury Junior High School.
The aquatics program offers many swimming options including open family swim, standard swim lessons, and the following selected classes.
• Lifeguard Training Review, for lifeguards renewing their certification to the new American Red Cross standards, will be offered Saturday, Jan. 10. Participants will complete a 300-yard swim, and review and demonstrate lifesaving, CPR, AED and First Aid skills. The cost for this class, # AQ22635, is $88.
• Boy Scout of America Swim Tests for boys interested in accomplishing the beginner or swimmer test required for camp, will be held Thursday, Feb, 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Oltman. Sign up may be made individually or by troop. The cost for class # AQ22400 is $3.
• Water Exercise classes will be offered at both Oltman and Woodbury schools. Classes are offered on several different days and times. Partcipants may register by the day or purchase entrance cards at the pools. The cost is $3.25 per day.
Winter brochures with complete information will be available the library, city hall and all District 833 schools.
