Letter: Hurst deserves your vote

I worked with Cheryl Hurst for many years when she was on the Woodbury City Council and I was city administrator.

During her time on the council, Woodbury added many amenities and was recognized nationally as an outstanding community.

At the same time she and the rest of the city council worked very hard to keep property taxes low.

Successful decision making in government requires the judgement to strike a balance between many needs including immediate demands and our long term best interests.

Cheryl showed that judgement and the ability to strike that balance. I am sure she will bring that same ability to the position of county commissioner and for that reason I will be voting for her on Nov. 4.
