Letter: Pleased to endorse Hurst

As a member of the Woodbury Economic Development Commission for 11 years (1989-2000), I am pleased to endorse and support Cheryl Hurst for Washington County Commissioner.

I was able to work with Cheryl and directly observe her commitment to the economic viability of our community.

Cheryl is a dedicated and informed public servant, who has stayed away from partisan politics and consistently demonstrated an informed decision making process that focused on what was best for our community.

Whether it was dealing with the growth in retail and commercial development in the late 1990s and early 2000 or the complexities of the development of the Lake Road Interchange and the Tamarack Interchange, Cheryl demonstrated a proactive approach to master planning and long-term economic growth.

She has always maintained an emphasis on the big picture, with a focus on job growth and improving our commercial tax base. Her consistent and proactive commitment to our community makes Cheryl an excellent candidate for Washington County Commissioner.
