Letter: Participate in awareness month

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month and we are proud to be among the businesses employing individuals with disabilities.

We would like to encourage others to join us. Metro Urology teamed up with Lifeworks Services, a nonprofit that supports people with disabilities, a year ago.

We worked closely with Lifeworks to find an employee who matched our needs and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

She has boosted our company’s morale and we have gained an employee with integrity who is qualified and reliable. She is supported daily by a job coach so she continues to develop her job skills and that helps us meet our bottom line goals.

She has made our staff more diverse and has become an important part of our Metro Urology family.
