The state’s largest small business group, the National Federation of Independent Business, has presented District 56A State Rep. Julie Bunn of Lake Elmo with the organization’s “Guardian of Small Business Award” for the 2007-2008 biennium.
“Rep. Bunn is a strong supporter of small business at the capitol,” said Mike Hickey, state director for NFIB/MN, at a luncheon at the Lowell Inn in Stillwater on Sept. 11.
NFIB is the nation's leading small business advocacy association, with offices in Washington, D.C. and all 50 state capitals.
Founded in 1943 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, NFIB gives small and independent business owners a voice in shaping the public policy issues that affect their business.
NFIB’s network of grassroots activists send their views directly to state and federal lawmakers through its member-only ballot.
