The community is invited to the Woodbury Heritage Society dedication of the Butterfly Garden, in memory of Bernice Bielenberg, at the Woodbury Heritage House Sunday, Sept. 28 at 2 p.m.

According to information provided by the society, as one of the founders, Bielenberg was a very intricate part of the history of Woodbury and the Woodbury Heritage Society. She worked actively to record the historical memoirs of Woodbury, and “when there were [records of] historical events to be found, Bernice knew exactly where to locate them.”

The Heritage House is located at the southeast corner of Lake Road and Radio Drive. The Woodbury Heritage Society hosts open houses on the second and fourth Sundays of the month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. June through September. At the open house events, including the upcoming dedication, Heritage Society members are available to answer questions and share special memories of Woodbury’s past. Displays in the house include maps showing the original farms, pictures of historic Woodbury and authentic furnishings.
