Free preschool screenings during September

During the month of September, Woodbury's Family Achievement Center is offering free preschool screenings focusing on the areas of speech and motor skills.

Its therapy staff has found that parents of young children may often have ongoing concerns or questions about their children meeting developmental milestones between the ages of two and five years.

While parents are encouraged to address these issues with their child's pediatrician, FAC's therapy staff may be able to help with a free and quick screening (15 to 20 minutes) to indicate if a child is on-track with his/her speech and motor skill development.

The free screenings are available to children between the ages of 2 and 5 years and can be scheduled throughout the month of September.

Screenings for younger children may also be arranged by contacting the Family Achievement Center.

To set-up a free screening time, call the receptionist at (651) 738-9888. Spaces are limited, so interested persons are advised to call early to assure an appointment.
