Letter: A thank you from Mayor Hargis

I wish to thank those who have prayed for me and my family, sent a card, shared their experiences, called or offered a word of encouragement or positive thought since my diagnosis of prostate cancer this summer.

I wish to thank those who have prayed for me and my family, sent a card, shared their experiences, called or offered a word of encouragement or positive thought since my diagnosis of prostate cancer this summer. My family and I have been very encouraged by your concern and kindness.

My surgery went well, my prognosis is good and my recovery is progressing well. I am very grateful for my family doctor and all the doctors, nurses and medical personnel who gave me outstanding and compassionate care.

I would like to especially thank Paul Rebholz, our Mayor Pro Tem, the members of the city council and our city employees who stepped up and assumed more responsibility in my absence.

I am back to work and resuming my duties and responsibilities, and I sincerely thank them for their extra efforts on my behalf.

The value of faith, family and friends has been very important to me during my life, but these past weeks have shown me even more how truly important they are.

Please keep the prayers, positive thoughts and words of encouragement coming. I appreciate them, and thank you again for your support.

Bill Hargis

Mayor of Woodbury
