The Woodbury Service Unit of Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys will hold a parent meeting Tuesday, Sept. 23, 7 p.m. at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 1583 Radio Drive, Woodbury.
The parent/guardian-only meeting will provide an opportunity to obtain registration forms and informaiton for girls in kindergarten through grade 12 who are interested in joining Girl Scouts. The event will also provide a chance to explore adult volunteer opportunities.
According to information provided by the organization, in partnership with nearly 16,000 adult volunteers the Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys help 49,000 girls each year in all or portions of 49 counties in southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin to discover new abilities, connect with new friends, and take action to improve their communities. “Girl Scouts is the world’s preeminent leadership development organization for girls, building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.” For more information about Girl Scouts, visit www.girlscoutsrv.org.
