For the fourth consecutive year, Woodwinds Health Campus and the entire HealthEast Care System has been named one of Minnesota’s “Best Places to Work” by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The magazine had nearly 250 Minnesota companies apply for the award this year.
“As a leadership team, we truly value the opinions of our employees,” said Julie Schmidt, Woodwinds Health Campus CEO. “So knowing that this recognition is the result of their feedback makes the honor doubly significant from our perspective.”
HealthEast achieved this recognition based on low employee turnover and high patient, employee and physician satisfaction. The award was also based on results from the many employees who completed the Business Journal’s 40-question survey.
Woodwinds, which is located at 1925 Woodwinds Drive, off I-494, in Woodbury, is a full-service, 78-bed hospital. The hospital employs 700 people and has 275 volunteers from the community.
Woodwinds is a collaboration between HealthEast Care System and Children’s Hospitals and Clinics. HealthEast includes Bethesda, St. John’s and St. Joseph’s Hospitals, Woodwinds Health Campus, outpatient services, home care, clinics, pharmacies and medical transportation services.
HealthEast is the largest locally-owned health care provider in the Twin Cities’ East Metro, with 7,000 employees and more than 1,400 physicians on staff.
