Local band playing at State Fair

The band “The Distractions” will be competing in the semi-finals of the State Fair Talent Show Friday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m.

The band, which includes Woodbury residents Jackie Bystedt, Mitch Brist, Dylan Ahmann and Topher Gale, competed at a preliminary event in July and was selected to perform Friday at the Leinie Lodge Band Shell on the State Fair grounds.

If the band wins the Friday competition, it will perform at the Grand Stand Finals Aug. 31.
