Letter: Reality check: energy suicide
I feel there’s a surreal atmosphere, the twilight zone emotions, that the unreality of the Democrat Congress is bringing to our nation with its policy of energy suicide.
I feel there’s a surreal atmosphere, the twilight zone emotions, that the unreality of the Democrat Congress is bringing to our nation with its policy of energy suicide.
It seems Democrats in the United States Congress believe that meaningful energy supplies are going to be magically produced by “conservation,” by windmills (which are as whimsical as the wind and require inordinate maintenance) and solar (again at the whimsy of the sun.)
For years, Democrats have denied us access to our own supplies of the one real fuel that has driven (literally) and powered our economy — oil.
Democrats have also denied us the one true technologically established advance — nuclear — which does produce copious amounts of energy in a truly effective fashion. Even the French know it!
Get ready nuclear and oil; the Democrat hara-kiri sword is ready to deliver the coup de grace to your energy gut.
Unless we start now, right now, to drill and build nuclear power plants and oil refineries, energy suicide is assured.
And the reality is our grandchildren are going to be Third World citizens living in shacks and riding bicycles. That is the reality.
The blindness to reality of the liberal Democrat mind amazes me. But it shouldn’t. They have always been that way.
