Retreads enjoy lunch, entertainment

The next meeting of the Guardian Angels Church “Retreads” will be held Friday, Sept. 5 in the cafeteria of the church, located at 8260 Hudson Blvd., Oakdale. Last month’s featured speaker was Liz Johnson, who survived cancer five times.

Featured at this month’s meeting will be accordionist Mary Severson and banjo-player Bill Mockenhaupt performing “Sweet Memories.” Lunch will follow; meatloaf is on the menu. The cost is $8 per person. Reservations should be sent with payment to Louise and Jim Jacobs, 291 Blue Heron Lane, Woodbury, MN 55125.
