Getting to know junior high school

District 833 is offering a school familiarization session for students entering seventh grade this fall at district junior high schools.

South Washington County School District 833 is offering a school familiarization session for students entering seventh grade this fall at district junior high schools. The cost is $3 and includes lunch. Transportation is available by advance request.

Events include conversations with ninth graders, meeting the principal, tours of their school and activities to introduce students to life at the junior high school.

Lake Junior High School, Woodbury will host incoming students Monday, Aug. 18. The session for boys will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; girls will meet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Woodbury Junior High School will host incoming students Wednesday, Aug. 20. The “Boys Moving Up” session will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and “Girls Moving Up” will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
