Minutes: Better late than never

Ten sets of minutes from meetings dating back to Feb. 21 were approved at the Afton City Council meeting on July 15.
Council member Peg Nolz questioned whether there was any point in publishing the minutes, as the statutory deadline (30 days from the date of the meeting) had been missed, but other council members felt they were an important record of city business.
Interim city administrator Jim Norman told the council there had been a backlog at the company contracted to provide the minutes.
