Comcast employees and public officials celebrated the grand opening of Comcast’s newest facility at 2101 Wooddale Drive, Woodbury, on June 26.
The new building serves as a technical operations, network maintenance and warehouse center with nearly 200 employees.
David Diers, Comcast vice president of Advanced Services and a Woodbury resident, presided over the ribbon cutting ceremony.
The building’s employee facilities include a half-court basketball area, two 50-inch plasma TVs, a game room and an exercise room.
The structure is a 27,000 total square foot facility with 4,900 square foot warehouse.
Comcast Corporation is the nation's largest cable television provider.
Comcast serves more than 600,000 customers in 111 communities throughout the Twin Cities, Greater Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.
Its local headquarters offices are located in St. Paul, and Comcast employs nearly 2,000 area residents.
