Metropolitan public libraries have teamed up with the Minnesota Fringe to host sneak peeks at local libraries of shows in the 2008 Minnesota Fringe showcase. A free preview of “Kids’ Shows” will be held Wednesday, July 16, 6:30 p.m. at the Central Park amphitheater, 8595 Central Park Place in Woodbury. No registration is needed. In addition to learning about the festival, attendees can register to win a Fringe five-show punch card worth $50; and one punch card and admission button will be given away at each showcase.
The “sneak peek” event offers a preview of one aspect of the performing arts festival, held from July 31 through Aug. 10. The festival features a variety of shows at various venues throughout Minneapolis. Minnesota Fringe, www.fringefestival.org, is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect adventurous artists with adventurous audiences.
