Afton holiday parade musicians invited

The Afton Fourth of July parade band again invites band musicians to join the fun.

Whether you are a youngster who is ready to join the band, a professional musician or someone eager to bring out your old clarinet or horn and play again, you will be welcomed to this community band.

Four rehearsals will be held, Monday through Thursday, June 30 through July 3, at 7 p.m. at the Afton Historical Museum.

Band members are invited to attend as many of the rehearsals as they need. Music may be checked out for practice at home.

On July 4, the band will meet at 10 a.m. at the museum for a warm-up rehearsal, followed by decorating the parade wagon. The parade begins at noon.
