Learning Center graduates 31 students

School District 833’s Alternative Learning Center graduated 31 students in a ceremony held June 5 at the school.

School District 833’s Alternative Learning Center graduated 31 students in a ceremony held June 5 at the school, located at the District Program Center in Cottage Grove.

“I believe it’s our largest class ever,” said Principal Mike Mahaffey.

Superintendent Tom Nelson and school board member Leslee Boyd presented the student diplomas.

Students selected their favorite teachers to talk about their sojourn at the center.

Graduates included Jessica Assand, Nate Bachman, Drake Barnes, Rochelle Cooke, Bradley Grzeskowiak, Andrew Hagen, Dustin Haley, D’Mar Holmes, Nick Holzschuh, Dustin Hughes, David Johnivin, Amber Johnson, Olivia Marquina, Derek Pederson, Leah Pitoscia, Brittney Puariea, Rosemarie Reynolds, Chris Selvig, Rikki Steward, Nicholas Sullivan, Cindy Thao, Jessica Wasley, Taylor Welsch, Nicole Yates, Chelsea Gagliardi, Derek Jankowski, Leanne Prairie, Kelly Veesenmeyer, Chris Nitti-Weigel, Terry Wilson and Sheldreann Tsinijinnie.
